Happy Halloween!
Friday, October 31st, 2008I spent the day in the pumpkin patch with my daughter, granddaughter, and four kindergarten classes. What a wonderful way to kick the Halloween season off! They had a petting zoo, hayrack rides, a corn maize, and for a grande finale we all settled beneath the fall trees for a picnic. The farm is 400 acres and beautiful with fall foilage and rolling hills as far as the eye can see.
While there I asked around for any halloween stories, anything that goes bump in the night. Surprisingly, personal stories weren’t shared but I did get a few tidbits on local hauntings. A nearby Inn that may have a child ghost, and of course we have battlegrounds around this area. My daughter has one a block away, close to the lake. The Inn I spoke of was once used as a hospital during the Civil War. So, the energies there, I’m sure, are quite noticeable. I plan to research the history, and maybe a few ideas will brew for a future work…ya never know!
So, enjoy your Halloween all, and may inspiration come to you in unexpected and delightful ways!
